WooWee is a company based in Hong Kong but is very active in countries like La Jolla, California, Montreal, Quebec. It manufactires hi-tech consumer robotic and entrainment products.

You must have heard about WooWee’s Robosapien™ that was launched in 2004 and made a breakthrough in robotics at home.

This product has sold more than 5 million copies and is by far the most interactive robot that can be bought by everyone. It is the first biomorphic robot, that manages to merge technology and a complete character.

This product became even better with Robosapien V2 that came in the market in 2005. It was much more advanced, with more technological advancements, able to talk. And then came the RS Media™ robot in 2006 that had a thorough multimedia capability that users could edit some of his basic actions.

The RS Tri-Bot™ robot came in 2006 and it has the most complete personality of all and many different play modes that can give you much fun; this model came out only recently in 2008.

WooWee has really managed to create new developments in robotics that have to do with home entertainment. Most of the products have even won many awards because they are original.

WooWee has many five lines with different products, WooWee Robotics™, WooWee Flytech Bladestar™, WooWee Alive™, WooWee technologies™. They are inventive creations that are interactive, they can talk, walk, fly and enable remote telepresence and communications.

Recently WooWee has launched the Think Wow Toys that feature promotional toys, plush toys and other third-party licensed characters and properties.

And something that you wouldn’t expect; WooWee will have to do with the big screen as Arad Productions and Crystal Sky pictures are working on doing a film on the Robosapien robot.

The movie will be called ‘Robosapien: Rebooted; and will have to do with a live story combined with computer-generated imagery (CGI).WooWee is highly active in Hong Kong, California, New York and Belgium.
